Abstract
ABSTRACT Selected results of a survey of oil contents in brine discharges from 10 offshore Louisiana oil production platforms are presented. Tests identified significant differences in oil content, soluble oil, and efficiency of oil separation from brine at different platforms. Differences were also noted in the performance of gravity separators and flotation units.
