Abstract
Drilling in north-central Texas in 1982 increased 8.1% from the 1981 level. The wildcat success rate increased to 24%, and total footage drilled increased 5.6%. Production of oil increased, but gas production decreased. Significant discoveries were made in Eastland County and Young County. Hardeman County continued to have major activity.
