Abstract

Fluorodeoxyglucose-labeled positron emission tomography (FDG-PET) has shown a high diagnostic value for identifying lymph node metastasis over contrast-enhanced computed tomography (CT) in many oncologic fields. This study evaluated the diagnostic accuracy of FDG-PET/CT in comparison with histologic findings for detecting metastatic cervical lymph nodes in patients with oral cancer.
