Abstract

HOW definite a picture is it possible to construct of the working women in one state in the Union? Just how much do we actually know about the women in the industries of Ohio? A study made by the Women's Bureau of the United States Department of Labor tells of hours and wages; the Ohio Division of Labor Statistics has gathered data on wage rates and the number employed; the United States Census Report for 1920 gives information on age and nationality; and various other studies, by privately supported organizations, round out the picture. In this article are assembled the facts about women industrial workers in Ohio.
