Abstract

Abstract : This report presents the results of a design study to replace the existing OH-58 C/A Main Rotor Blade with a Composite Rotor Blade. The effort consisted of a trade study phase and a preliminary design phase. The composite construction rotor blade defined in this report in whole or in part meets the defined improvement objectives in the areas of life cycle cost, performance, reliability and maintainability, radar reflectivity, and ballistic survivability.
