Abstract
Abstract This article presents an overview of offshore petroleum production technologies. In particular, a brief overview of floating production platforms is presented along with subsea production system at the seafloor and its components. Flow assurance is discussed to highlight some of the challenges in maintaining the offshore petroleum production over long durations.
