Abstract

AbstractIn this paper, an experimental study of the behavior of offset stacked patches in an array is presented. The goal of this work is to prove that these asymmetrical patches are useful for improving E‐plane radiation pattern symmetry in stacked‐patch arrays. To this aim, an array of stacked patches whose upper layer can be moved along the E‐plane is manufactured. Measurements show the advantages of such arrays. © 2004 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
