Abstract
An offset linear scaling for the H-mode confinement time is examined based on single parameter scans on the JFT-2M experiment.Regression study is done for various devices with open divertor configuration such as JET, D III-D, JFT-2M.The scaling law of the thermal energy is given in the MKSA unit as_??_where R is the major radius, Ip is the plasma current, BT is the toroidal magnetic field, A is the average mass number of plasma and neutral beam particles, and P is the heating power, This fitting has a similar root mean square error (RMSE) compared to the power law scaling. The result is also compared with the H-mode in other configurations. The W th of closed divertor Hmode on ASDEX shows a little better values than that of open divertor H-mode
