Abstract

The number of smartphone users is increasing thrice as compared to laptops in these few years because they provide good mobility, easy to handle and maintain. Smartphones are means for providing various services over the internet. Even smart devices are handled using smartphones. Despite the technological enhancement of mobile phones over the past few years, they lack storage capacity. Due to smartphones' small size, handy nature, lightweight they are constrained by limited storage capacity. There is a method to extend mobile storage using memory cards, pen drives, but mobile phones extend a limited amount of storage as well as these secondary storage devices are slow in processing. Instead of these external devices using cloud storage service for saving data over cloud services is an efficient and fast way. Cloud platforms provide various storage services such as file storage, block storage, and object storage. All these storages have their specific use. Object storage is most suitable to offload the data from android phones because they are independent to access as they do not require any operating system to operate, highly scalable, access over the internet. In this paper we are going to develop a web portal which will authenticate the old users and will create new users. Every user will have separate storage space in AWS S3. These users will have containers to offload their smartphone's data using the web portal.
