Abstract
Board Committee Reports Grants & Awards The committee recommended establishment of the ACS Award for Team Innovation, sponsored by ACS Corporation Associates, to recognize the importance of multidisciplinary teamwork in industry. The committee also recommended changes in the ACS Regional Awards in High School Chemistry Teaching to permit individuals as well as ACS local sections to nominate candidates and to provide ACS funding for a stipend of $1,000 plus travel expenses for each recipient; revisions in the Hudson Award in Carbohydrate Chemistry, sponsored by the ACS Division of Carbohydrate Chemistry, to provide for biennial presentation of the award after 1995 with a stipend of $3,000 and a travel allowance of $1,000; and expansion of the Kipping Award in Organosilicon Chemistry, sponsored by Dow Corning Corp., to include all of silicon chemistry, with a stipend of $5,000, effective in 1996.
