Abstract

Effective treatment of dyspareunia can be a simple matter of reassuring the patient or conferring with her sexual partner. Or it may require vaginal dilation, use of lubricant or estrogenic cream, or surgery. Psychogenic dyspareunia is relatively uncommon.
