Abstract

A colour machine vision has been developed and used for off-line quality control of biscuits. One of the major objectives was to evaluate the feasibility of contactless colour control during the biscuit baking process, including dimensional aspects. To confirm measurements, we have compared colorimeter, and CCD colour camera performance on 20 referenced colour samples and on a 300 biscuit's set. With this test, we intend to prove the efficiency of colour test with a camera. The results of colorimetric analysis are not strictly comparable with those of a laboratory colour system, but it is enough to classify biscuits.
