Abstract

Education is one of the most important parameters of the modern world. The importance of education is recognized by all societies of the world and the importance of education activities is increasing day by day. Therefore it is clear that the educated societies have many problems in terms of keeping up with the developments. Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) and Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) are multi-criteria decision making methods that are used together in many problems and have positive results. In this study which evaluates the educational performance of OECD countries, DEA method, DEA/AHP sequence method and DEAHP method are discussed in detail and the results are evaluated. The disadvantages of Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) and Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) methods are tried to be eliminated by using DEA/AHP sequential method and DEA method and it is aimed to obtain more meaningful results.
