Abstract
Odontomas consists as the more common odontogenic tumors, being defined as a benign malformation, in which the cells attain complete differentiation, reaching the stage in which all dental tissues are represented. They are classified complex and compound odontomas. They are usually asymptomatic and diagnosed by routine radiographic examination. The treatment for this type of lesion is surgical excision and the prognosis is excellent. This paper aim is to review literature on the subject and present a case of compound odontoma in a 26 years female patient treated in the Stomatology clinic of the School of Dentistry at PUC Minas.
