Abstract

The triplet state of the oxalate anion, C 2O 4 2−, has been studied by optically detected magnetic resonance (ODMR) at zero field in its neat salts Na 2C 2O 4 and K 2C 2O 4·H 2O. The fine structure constants, orientation of the spin axes, and kinetic parameters of the individual spin levels in the triplet state have been determined.
