Abstract

This concise hand book on ophthalmic pathology is an amazing little book. The author has filled a great need by offering a book for the beginner in the study of ocular pathology. The most basic principles are explained and applied to specific changes that occur in the eye. No pretense is made to have this book a complete report of a disease process, but the basic facts are clearly described in order that the beginner can at least have a fundamental understanding on which he can build with more extensive reading on the subject. This book is by no means complete, but through the author's knowledge of the subject he has shown great skill and judgment in his selection of material included. Illustrations of gross specimens are poorly reproduced but the photomicrographs are satisfactory. I recommend this book for the beginner in ophthalmic pathology with the understanding that this
