Abstract

Ocular melanoma has been studied with various radionuclides, but there is no report of ocular melanoma showing Tc-99m MIBI and Tc-99m HMPAO uptake. Because Tc-99m HMPAO contains amine radicals in its structure, it can bind amine receptors on melanoma cells if present. We describe two patients with primary ocular melanoma showing Tc-99m MIBI and Tc-99m HMPAO uptake in the primary tumor.
