Abstract
From ocular exudates we have isolated 70 strains of gram-negative bacilli not belonging to the Enterobacteriaceae. Besides Moraxella and Pseudomonasaeruginosa, we have isolated Mima -polymorpha, Herelleavaginicola, Pseudomonasfluorescens, Pseudomonasalcaligenes, Pseudomonasstutzeri or Pseudomonas species in 30 cases including keratitis, conjunctivitis, corneal ulcer, infection of the orbital cavity or dacryocystitis. We have also isolated Flavobacterium, Empedobaeter and non-identified strains from 21 cases of various ocular infections.
