Abstract

A 34-year-old man was working with a wire brush paint stripper, which was a rotating wheel with multiple steel or copper wires, to strip old paint from a surface. He turned on the machine briefly to check that it was working and was not wearing safety goggles at the time when a wire flew off and struck him in the left eye. His wife brought him in by private vehicle. At the time of presentation, he denied any visual changes or discomfort.
