Abstract

Out of breast cancer patients treaked over the past 11 years, clinical investigations were performed on 12 patients with breast cancers complicated by antecedent or concomitant cancers of other organs. The stages of the second cancers (other organ cancers) were relatively more advanced than the accompanying breast cancer and deaths were mostly attributed to these second cancers. A comparative study on the significance of adjunct therapies breast cancer surgery demonstrated that the stages of the second cancers in patients concomitantly given radiation therapy or chemotherapy were more advanced and that the prognosis was aggravated.
