Abstract
1. 1. The occurrence of haemoglobin in Lineïdae was demonstrated by spectroscopic and histospectroscopic methods, cytochemicals reactions and staining of the vascular system. 2. 2. The amount of haemoglobin present in one specimen was measured (55 × 10 −3 mg per animal about 100 mg weight). 3. 3. The study of the metabolism of haemoglobin was done by the use of 59Fe.
