Abstract
The dermatan sulfate isomer was isolated from the larvae of a sea urchin, Pseudocentrotus depressus. Its repeating unit was characterized as 2-acetamide-2-deoxy-3- O-( β-D-idopyranosyluronic acid)-4,6- O-disulfo-galactose. This report is the first one to show the occurrence of a dermatan sulfate in invertebrates.
