Abstract

This article describes the four levels of occupational therapy education in the United States: technical, professional, post-professional and doctoral It focuses on the aspects of accreditation, fieldwork, certification, current shortages of faculty and fieldwork sites and rapid growth in the number of programs. The certification process for internationally trained therapists is included.
