Abstract
Isolated macular infarction has been re ported in sickle cell (SS) disease.' While Welch and Goldberg and Goldberg alone' summarized the proliferative aspects of sickle retinopathy (PSR) in hemo globin C (SC) disease, the association of macular capillary occlusions has not been re ported previously. This report documents this association, which may be easily over looked and yet can readily account for de creased visual acuity.
