Abstract

compared the reproductive outcomes between women shown to have uterine anomalies and those with normal uteri. Results: 822 subjects were included for final analysis. 105 (12.7%) subjects had a uterine anomaly with arcuate uterus the most common (n = 92, 11.2%) (table). A total of 414 subjects conceived following ART including 49.5% of subjects (52/105) with uterine anomalies and 50.5% matched controls (362/717) with normal uteri (P = 0.9). Miscarriage and live birth rates were comparable in women with arcuate uteri and controls for both singleton and twin pregnancy (table). Conception rates were too low to allow analysis of other uterine anomalies. Conclusions: Uterine anomalies do not appear to reduce the chance of conception or live birth after ART. The arcuate uterus is not associated with an increase risk of miscarriage in the first or second trimester. Too few women with other uterine anomalies were available for analysis and further multicentre work is required to examine their impact.
