Abstract

The principle of monodisperse aerosol generation based on spraying liquid during the gas bubble destruction near the liquid surface is considered. The synchronization of the bubble growth and collapse processes with capillary oscillations of the thin liquid film is proposed to provide the stability and reproducibility of the droplet formation conditions. On this basis, the possibility of creating the streams of nearly identical droplets without external periodic stimulation is shown. In essence, they can be realized in very wide conditions and only demand a source of low pressure for their implementation. Simple constructions of the monodisperse droplet generator and its operation modes are described.
