Abstract
At present, high-quality healthy planting material of potato tubers cannot be obtained without the use of clonal micropropagation technology, with the help of which, through micro-cuttings, it is possible to recover from viral, viroid, bacterial and fungal infections and mass propagation of economically valuable varieties. The wrong choice of explants and ineffective sterilization are the most common causes of suppression of the growth of microplants, bacterial infections, necrosis of shoot tips, habituation and growth of tissues, lack of rooting at the stage of rhizogenesis and successful acclimatization at the stage of adaptation to non-sterile conditions, etc.
