Abstract

Maintaining the balance between the air supply, air exhaust, and sludge water subsystems is the key to maintaining consistent booth performance and optimizing the painting process. To achieve a controllable process, only the air supply subsystem should be regularly adjusted to react to changing conditions. In order to achieve the ideal of adjusting only the air supply volume it is critical to maintain consistent operating conditions in the air exhaust and sludge water subsystems. The emulsion program provides a method for avoiding the symptons of “sick booth disease” caused by paint deposits throughout the sludge water and air exhaust sludge systems.
