Abstract

This article presents the results of studying the sorption of Cu2+ ions in artificial solutions to ionite obtained on the basis of the PPD brand of Navbakhor bentonite at temperatures of 303, 313 and 323 K, the duration of sorption up to the equilibrium state (between 1-24 hours) and at different concentrations. The kinetics of the processes were studied, Langmuir and Freundlich isotherm models were used to express the adsorption mechanism in the equilibrium state. Based on the obtained results, it was found that the value of isotherm parameters R2 (0,9973) was consistent in all isotherm models. According to the Langmuir isotherm model, 𝑞𝑚𝑎𝑥= 212,7 mg/g, and n=0,2456 according to the Freundlich isotherm model. This indicates the sorption of Cu2+ ions to bentonite-based ionite. Based on scientific research, pseudo-first and pseudo-second order kinetic models of sorption of metal ions to ionite were also studied. It was determined that the obtained kinetic parameters of the process obey the pseudo-second-order model and the sorption of Cu2+ ions to the obtained ionite.
