Abstract

The authors performed a retrospective review of patients treated for pelvic congestion syndrome (PCS) with isolated iliac vein stenting, without any direct treatment/embolization of the pelvic varicosities to determine whether this approach might yield good results.1 With isolated iliac vein interventions, the authors found that they had complete symptom resolution in 76% of patients at 6-month follow-up; however, seven patients did require additional interventions (two of these having only undergone venoplasty without stent at the initial procedure).
