This book makes an excellent reference as well as the perfect book to read cover to cover before beginning a clinical rotation. Additionally, this would be a superb text for nurses and other clinical personnel beginning careers in the offices of private obstetrician-gynecologists. The book reads very easily and pleasantly and contains numerous black-and-white photomicrographs, enabling the student to better visualize certain pathological entities as well as normal architecture. The book contains numerous listings in nontext form for easy perusal, examples being indications for diagnostic ultrasound, the gynecologic and obstetric history, internally ingested drugs' effects on the fetus, and high-lighted points for the gynecologic examination.
