Abstract
Obstetric hemorrhage is a critical event that requires optimal management to minimize morbidity and mortality. Optimal management is promoted by comprehensive education and multidisciplinary/multidepartment collaboration. It is through this collaboration that systems and processes that facilitate obstetric management can be identified, developed, and incorporated into practice. This poster will highlight one institution's innovative approach to improving the management of obstetric hemorrhage. The improvement was mediated through the formation of the Obstetric Hemorrhage Multidisciplinary Committee. The committee's charge was to provide education and identify opportunities for practice changes that would improve the response to obstetric hemorrhage.
