Abstract

This paper studies observer-based output feedback control for a class of nonlinear descriptor systems, and presents a number of new results. At first, under a sufficient condition to guarantee the resulting closed loop descriptor system to be impulse free, a novel stabilizing observer-based output feedback controller is designed. Then an observer-based output feedback H ∞ controller and an observer-based adaptive output feedback H ∞ controller are respectively designed for the concerned system when external disturbances and/or parametric perturbations are taken into account. Simulation results on a nonlinear descriptor circuit system illustrate the efficiency of the controllers proposed in this paper.
