Abstract
An observer-based H ∞ fuzzy controller is presented for one-dimensional (1-D) parabolic partial differential equations (PDEs) with bounded external disturbance using discrete point measurements. Sufficient conditions that guarantee internal exponential stability of the closed-loop system and the H ∞ performance index are derived in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). A numerical simulation example is given to demonstrate the efficiency of the results.
