Abstract

This paper is concerned with the state observation problem for a class of parabolic PDE system based on mobile sensor with random measurement delays. To analyse the stability of the system and to propose a control force scheme for the mobile sensor, a model of random measurement delays is established and the parabolic PDE system is expressed by the abstract evolution equation in an appropriate Hilbert space. A state observer is designed and a sufficient condition is obtained by using the Lyapunov stability arguments. The results show that both the designed observer and the guidance scheme of the mobile sensor are affected by the probability of random measurement delays. Simulation results show the effectiveness of the proposed observer and the mobile control policy.
