Abstract
This paper is concerned with observer design approaches for a class of incommensurate fractional systems. The continuous frequency distributed state model is employed to represent fractional systems. By using a specific Lyapunov function, the sufficient conditions to guarantee asymptotical stability of fractional observer error dynamics are derived for both linear and nonlinear fractional systems with incommensurate orders. Finally, two numerical examples for linear and nonlinear fractional systems are presented to show the effectiveness of the proposed approach.
