Abstract

The paper describes some of the observations made during a botanical exploration tour of Eastern Kumaon bordering the Nepal Frontier and includes a list of plants collected with brief botanical notes. Among the plants collected are specimens of Triosteum hirsutum Wall., a rare member of Caprifoliaceae, Stylophorum lactucoides Benth. & Hook. f. of the Papaveraceae rarely collected in the past, Osmunda regalis L. and Thesium himalense Royle.
