Abstract

Abstract In New Zealand in the Auckland area Drechslera turcica can overwinter in debris buried in soil or weathered on the surface of the ground. Chlamydospores were observed in conidia, and these may play a role in the survival of the fungus. Inoculum present in debris from the past season';s crop would be sufficient to establish infection in the following crop.
