Abstract

SUMMARYObservations on the phytotoxic eifects of the fungicides quinometh–lonate, dinocap and lime sulphur on the foliage, yield, and extension growth ot five cultivars of black currants are described.Quinomethionate was very severely phytotoxic to cvs. Seabrook's Black and Laxton's Giant, while other cultivars were affected slightly or not at all. Lime sulphur adversely affected all cultivars to some extent but dinocap was almost non‐phytotoxic. The effects of the fungicides on the incidence of leaf spot (Pseudo‐peziza ribis) are also recorded.
