Abstract

Abstract Time-resolved fluorescence spectra from the B3Σu− and B″3Πu states of sulfur dimer have been studied by pumping the ground state 3Σg− dimer with a nitrogen laser at 337.1 nm. A lifetime of the B state was measured by an effusive molecular beam technique while that of the B″ state, by the bulb experiment. Quenching rates of these states were also obtained.
