Abstract

Cu-graphite sintered composites synthesized by flake powder metallurgy process are evaluated according to microstructure characteristics and mechanical properties. Impact of processing parameters and correlation between the reinforcement for the synthesized composite are discussed in detail. Obtained results showed an effect of un-melted Cu granules, which develop better stable and organized composite structure. The metallization graphite surface significantly improves the wettability between Cu and graphite.
