Abstract
ABSTRACT Photoelectric photometry of the primary of BDS 1269 shows that it is a short-period low-amplitude variable star. Mechler (1974) has shown that this star is metal deficient. The conclusion that it is a 8 Sct star raises questions concerning the classification of the secondary in the system. Key words: 8 Scuti star - photometry - visual binary
