Abstract
Objective To study the effect of Jiawei Gupi decoction combined with acupoint moxibustion on female insomnia patients with deficiency of heart and spleen. Methods 60 female patients with insomnia of deficiency of heart and spleen in our hospital were selected from March 2017 to September 2018. They were divided into experimental group and reference group by random number table method, with 30 cases in each group. The reference group was treated with Jiawei Gupi decoction, while the experimental group was treated with Jiawei Gupi decoction combined with acupoint moxibustion. PSQI, symptom score, and clinical efficacy were compared before and after treatment in the two groups. Results There were no statistically significant differences in PSQI score and symptom score between the two groups before treatment (P>0.05); compared with the reference group, PSQI score and symptom score in the experimental group [(6.64±1.52), (8.33±1.62)] were lower after treatment. The clinical efficacy of insomnia with deficiency of heart and spleen was higher in the experimental group (93.33%) than that in the reference group (73.33%), with statistically significant difference between the two groups (P<0.05). Conclusion Jiawei Gupi decoction combined with acupoint moxibustion has a significant effect on female insomnia patients with both heart and spleen deficiency, which can improve the symptoms of insomnia and improve the quality of sleep, which should be promoted clinically.
