Abstract

Objective To observe the effect of iridodialysis repairing combined with phacoemulsification and artificial implantation. Methods Sixty-five patients with iridodialysis and cataract were treated with iridodialysis repairing combined with phacoemulsification and artificial implantation. In the operation, sodium hyaluronate was injected into anterior chamber through clear corneal incision, the conjunctiva was open in iridodialysis, then the corneoscleral tunnel incision was made with 3.2mm tunnel knife under the guidance of gonioscope; the distal end of iridodialysis was aspirated to tunnel incision with needle and interrupted suture iris. 0.05ml epinephrine was injected into anterior chamber to achieve mydriasis after suture, capsulorhexis and chopped nucleus; then the cataract nucleus was emulsified with 45-50% energy and 80-100mmHg negative pressure; implanted the artificial lens. The pupillary change, postoperative visual acuity, reaction, complications and situation of medication were observed. Results The double pupil, D-shape pupil and irregular pupil restored to circle after operation. Thirty-eight eyes were restored to circular-shape pupil (55.38%) and 29 eyes to elliptical-shape pupil (44.62%). The corrected visual acuity ≥0.6 was in 38 eyes (58.46%) at one week after operation; the corrected visual acuity ≥0.6 was in 46 eyes (70.77%) at two weeks after operation. Conclusion The iridodialysis repairing combined with phacoemulsification and artificial implantation can improve and restore the pupil function, improve the visual acuity; and the effect is good.
