Abstract

Objective To observe the clinical effect of needling positive reaction points on primary dysmenorrhea. Methods 24 cases of primary dysmenorrhea recruited from March to October in 2018 were selected, and the positive reaction points with strong pain were used as the acupuncture points. On the day of dysmenorrhea, the filiform needling was performed for 3 consecutive days, and 3 consecutive menstrual cycles were covered. The changes of visual analogue scale(VAS) score were observed before and after treatment. Results The VAS score of the 24 patients before treatment was (6.17±1.85), and the VAS score was (3.52±1.36) after 3 months of treatment. The difference of VAS scores before and after treatment was statistically significant (t=2.093, P<0.05). Of the 24 patients, 9 were cured, 14 were improved, and 1 was ineffective. The total effective rate was 95.83% (23/24). Conclusion Needling positive reaction points in lower limbs in the treatment of primary dysmenorrheal has a proved curative effect and is worthy of clinical promotion.
