Abstract

Abstract In this paper, the relationships between the bubble vibration mode and the initial radius of the bubble are numerically and experimentally discussed. In particular, special equipment is presented which generates a single bubble whose radius gradually changes. Using this equipment, the radiated sounds from a single bubble that is driven by various amplitudes of incident sound are observed. By varying the bubble radius driven by the intensive sound, the critical radius at which the discontinuous change of the time profile appears can be observed.
