Abstract
The mixed dynamic form factor MDFF S(q, q’, ω) is a generalization of the well known dynamic form factor (DFF) S(q,ω) (e.g. Schattschneider et al). It gives rise to change in the ionization cross sections in crystals, as compared to the atomic model. In order to see whether the interference term is experimentally accessible in the intermediate energy range, we investigate the M4,5 edge (energy loss 367 eV) in epitaxially grown Ag.
