Abstract

Objective To investigate the efficacy of rhubarb by nasal feeding and blood purification on severe acute pancreatitis (SAP). Method Seventy-five patients with SAP were selected from January 2011 to December, and randomly divided into the two groups. A total of 36 cases was treated with routine treatment and blood purification therapy as control group, 39 cases in observation group were treated with rhubarb nasal jejunal infusion on this basis. Effect was compared between the two groups. Results Seven days after treatment, efficient, transit operation rate, fatality rate of observation group were 82.1% (32/39), 5.2% (2/39), 12.8% (5/39), which of the control group were 61.1% (22/36), 22.2% (8/36), 16.7% (6/36), the efficient had significant difference between the two groups (χ2=4.0717, P=4.0717). Indicators of observation group were better than those of control group, the differences were significant(P<0.05). Conclusions Rhubarb nasal feeding combined with blood purification in treatment of SAP is safe and effective, and can improve the success rate of treatment.
