Abstract
Electron parallel force balance for drift-wave fluctuation is evaluated using fluctuation data obtained by a single probe fast voltage sweeping method in a linear plasma. Waveforms of the floating potential obtained by the method were validated by conventional high-impedance floating potential measurement. It is found that consistency in amplitude and phase relationships in the force balance is high when the electron temperature fluctuation is taken into account.
