Abstract

A metallic temperature dependence of the resistance of ditetradecyldimethylammonium–Au(dmit)2 [2C14–Au(dmit)2] Langmuir–Blodgett (LB) film is observed in a wide temperature range of 56–293 K. While a weak metallic temperature dependence of resistance has been observed down to 216 K in a case where the electrode gap for the measurement is 0.5 mm (500 µm), an unambiguous metallic behavior is observed down to 56 K when utilizing a narrower interdigitated gap of 5 µm for the measurement.
